We wanted to find out what support would local people want when leaving hospital after having a Stroke? We worked in partnership with other organisation to hold an events to gather patients experiences and thoughts around this project.
The key purpose of this report was to hear about the changes to Community Stroke Services in the Borough and to hear of local people’s experiences about support following hospital discharge after a stroke.
Working in partnership with Wigan Borough Clinical Commissioning Group, Stroke Association and Thinkahead, we held a Stroke Information Event to engage with patients, carers and families about their experiences if they have accessed stroke care but also to ask if people knew what is available
