The Home Care report has now been completed and provides an overview of the experiences of people receiving home care services, their families, care staff, and home care managers across Wigan Borough. The findings highlight many examples of compassionate, person-centred care while also identifying areas requiring improvement, including communication, consistency of carers, visit times, care planning, and staff training. The report concludes with a series of recommendations aimed at improving the quality, safety, and reliability of home care services and will be shared with Wigan Borough Adult Social Services and commissioned home care providers to support future service improvements.
