Information & Signposting Event - World Alzheimer's Day
Tuesday 21st September marked World Alzheimer's Day 2021, and the team headed to Wigan Grand Arcade for an information and signposting event.
To raise awareness for dementia on World Alzheimer's Day, the team set up a signposting and information stall in the Grand Arcade in Wigan. Our Engagement Officer Andrea and our Communications Officer Ellen led the event, along with the support of our amazing volunteers Jean, Bill, and Maggie.
The stall provided residents with information and resources about Alzheimer's disease, with contacts and details for local dementia support. It was also an opportunity to collect experiences and opinions from members of the public, and spread the message about Healthwatch Wigan and Leigh.
