We are reviewing adult ADHD services across Greater Manchester.

Services supporting adults through diagnosis for ADHD have long waiting lists, approximately 15,000 people. This means that an adult who is referred now could wait over 7 years for a diagnosis. Since 2019 the number of referrals into adult ADHD services have increased 500%, this means on average these services receive 1,500 referrals a month.

“Over the last quarter HWWL has ensured representation on an increasing
number of committees and groups. The Chair and Chief Officer have a
place on the ICS and ICB forums where we can ensure engagement
and inclusion of public opinion is embedded into service design.

Dentists who set up practice in areas of England with poor access to NHS care will be offered a £20,000 bonus.

The government has also announced higher payments for dentists who take on new patients and teeth-cleaning in schools as part of a plan to expand levels of dental care.

This report contains the findings of a project undertaken to explore the current situation in care homes in accessing health and adult social care services. This was in response to anecdotal reports to Healthwatch Wigan and Leigh that some services were still running pandemic style models of service delivery.

The continuing cost of living crisis is adversely affecting people's physical and mental wellbeing.
